Dubai: A Desert Paradise Of Shattered Dreams
Welcome to the city of a million lights, the Shangri-La of the Middle East, a paradise in the desert that attracts bounty hunters and fortune seekers. Welcome to Dubai. But beyond the glittering lights and spending sprees, there is many a heart wrenching saga of illiterate and semi-skilled construction workers and taxi drivers who sweat it out to keep it going. Around three million of these Indian workers are seeking their fortunes in the Gulf.

The living and working conditions of the unskilled and semi-skilled Indian workers in the Gulf leaves much to be desired. A majority of these Indians are young, mostly unmarried males. More than half their numbers have invariably gone from Kerala, while the remaining persons have mostly been from Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Karnataka and Tamilnadu. Over 60 per cent of them have had little formal education. On arrival in their country of destination in the Gulf, they are usually fed and housed in barrack-like tenements and engaged as labour on construction projects. Now thousands have been laid off and have returned home to a bleak future.

The tempting riches of Dubai beckon six strangers from different parts of India who live under the same roof in this 'City of a Thousand Lights'. As they work seven days a week, the guest workers become firm friends and watch with envy the rich and affluent enjoying a life of luxury in their posh villas and cruising in their yachts in the Shangri-La of the Middle East.
Shashidharan Pillai is running away from his past while Uday Chacko, Binu Menon and Gabby Mathew are in Dubai to earn Dirhams, working as taxi drivers. Hazara Singh, working for a construction company, has his Dubai dream shattered. Maqbool Ahmed has his own problems – his wife, Afsana, a childless grass widow, walks out on him and he turns to matrimonial sites for a new bride. He finds one but she turns his world upside down.
As they spend more than they earn, their world collapses around them. With living costs rocketing daily, they struggle hard for survival. After meeting their bare basic expenses, they are left with little money to pay back the human traffickers who helped them to work in Dubai and precious little to send to their families back home. Living expenses are high; and they have loans to repay and families to support. Desperate, they get sucked into a life of crime.
Now a talented author Shamlal Puri, has chronicled these lives in his novel DUBAI DREAMS: THE ROUGH ROAD TO RICHES. He specially came from London to attend the release of his novel at the World Book Fair in New Delhi. The novel , jointly published by Har Anand Publications of New Delhi and Crownbird Publishers of London, presents the current situation in Dubai which is very much in the news. This book lifts the lid on the lives of blue collar workers in the Middle East. It captures the humour and pathos of the sweating class in thankless jobs.

Shamlal Puri, a veteran journalist, stayed in Dubai for three years, and observed the Indian workers and their struggles and challenges. It brings into sharp focus the problems faced by hundreds of thousands of workers in the Gulf. It revolves around the lives of Indian taxi drivers and how they cope with their tough working conditions and the tensions of their families back home in India. Part of the story also happens in Mumbai.

Where can I find cheats for the game Dream Chronicles?
I can't get any further then into the Dream Fairy's Mansion. Can anyone help me? I played the game over and over but can't get past this level! So any cheats for this game will be welcomed.
